Job Objective:
  • Responsible for completeness of loan documentation prior to conducting pre-disbursement verification and assessing that every loan application is in compliance with Credit Policy & Procedures and other guidelines circulated from time to time. Ensure Due Diligence Visit of OD borrowers at 60 and 90 DPD. Identify reason of default, visit sales staff, ensure if follow ups are in line with collection procedure & report to Area Coordinator - Portfolio Quality & Manager Portfolio Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Borrower’s Verification:
  • Ensure defined % of borrowers’ disbursement verification as per applicable protocols.
  • Major responsibility is to verify credit worthiness, reputation and repayment capacity of the applicant and guarantor based on local knowledge & demographics.
  • Proper assessment of credit requests, detailing appropriateness of loan size, purpose and tenor. It includes verifying genuineness & reliability of information on ILA & group formation and Financial Tab. Verify the dependents’ detail and loans with in same family by KMBL and other banks and take into account overall family credit worthiness.
  • Ensuring existence of borrower and guarantor & their businesses (economic activity) through verification of home & business addresses etc. and interacting with applicants / guarantors.
  • To assess whether borrowers and guarantor know & understand important loan terms, repayment amounts, due date of repayments and guarantee concept and their obligations in case of non-payment.
  • To identify Service quality lapses or breach of ethical / professional behavior by sales teams.
  • To identify any severe nature non-compliance during verifications & initiating loan application cancellation.
  • Ensure TAT for each activity for better client service.
Borrower’s Due Diligence:  
  • Conduct Due Diligence Visit of OD borrowers at 60 and 90 DPD. Find out the reason of default, sales staff visits and follow up are in line with collection procedure and report to ACPQ and Manager PQ as per set frequency.
Reporting, Record/Data Maintenance and System Security:
  • Coordinate & align activities with branch management to cope with seasonal business fluctuations & credit cases flow.
  • Ensure adequacy and timeliness of daily / weekly / monthly reports as per schedule & guidelines.
  • Maintain related records/data/information etc. as per defined procedures.
Skills:
  • Adept with administrative processes and data analysis procedures.
  • Well organized with good time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and reporting.
  • Openness to relocation and extensive travel across KMBL network.
  • Exhibits and upholds KMBL’s values and social performance objectives.
Education:
  • At least 14 preferably 16 years’ education in Agricultural Science/Agribusiness Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Public Administration or other relevant degree from an HEC recognized institute. Concentration in Mathematics and/or Statistics will be an added advantage.
Experience:
  • Preferably one-year experience at any financial institution in the same capacity. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
